Impact of Community-Based Go Baby Go Project on Interprofessional Collaboration

Interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPEC) are essential components of healthcare teams in the United States. This study aimed to explore impact a community-based Go Baby (GBG) project that used assistive technology environmental adaptation skills provide interprofessional hands-on collaboration between occupational therapy speech-language pathology graduate students. The (IPC) experiences provided students were centered on shared lectures labs role delineation, evaluation, treatment focused modifications through adaptation. culminating experience included with three four from each discipline team evaluate develop battery-powered rideable toy car modification for child disability. Students completed pre- post-surveys followed by written reflections about IPC experience.
